This past Saturday I went to the zoo...way cool, I know. It was strangely crazy busy and we got there in time to see the elephant show. I had never seen the animals so awake before because usually they look dead or not there at all. I even witnessed this intense battle between two lizards...too bad my camera didn't work fast enough or I would have videoed it. The seals were finally back as well (they had been relocated after Katrina).

The saddest part of the trip was the caterpillar massacre happening right before my eyes. There were dead bodies everywhere! It looked like a war zone and the poor little bugs were losing...badly. Sadly I accidentally killed one myself. There will be a severe lack of butterflies if something is not done soon. Maybe protesting...
Sign of being back home: I almost died of a heat stroke but it was worth it.

Sara, I love your blog. I want to go to the zoo! I am so jealous. Let me know when you want to do the protesting for the massacre of caterpillars, i will join in with you.
haha
a. funny that you said you almost died of a heat stroke. i feel ya.
b. i liked how you put that you are a cougar fan. that is what i am talking about.
c. um who cares about caterpillars? the only reason i would be mad about that is because when i stepped on them my shoes would get gross. (typing this made me feel a little bit heartless, but its how i feel)
