Boredom Solution!

When you are bored, and you have a free Shutterfly photo book offer, this is what you do:

It's a book with my pictures from college! Hooray for memories! Hooray for having something to do for a week!

Pop...Pop...Pop...sicles!

I got these popsicle molds like last summer, but I've never used them. So my goal/desire is to use them and try awesome popsicle recipes. My first attempts were less adventurous but still good. Here are pictures, descriptions, and popsicle reviews:

Vanilla Pudding Pop:

Description: vanilla pudding. 
Review: simple and good.

Strawberry Topped Vanilla Pudding Pop:

Description: vanilla pudding and pureed frozen strawberries. 
Review: Good combination, but next time it should be layered.

Simple Strawberry Pop:

Description: pureed frozen strawberries. 

Review: It doesn't need anything else; it's perfect just the way it is.

Vanilla Cinnamon Toast Crunch: 

Description: vanilla pudding with cinnamon toast crunch in the middle. 

Review: I'm not a fan of mushy cereal and that's what the cereal was, so I will not be repeating this. However, the cinnamon, vanilla flavor was good.

I was bored.

I like breakfast for dinner

Sometimes (read: most of the time) this is how I feel when trying new recipes or new things in general:

but no worries it usually works out fine. So on Sunday I was making french toast for lunch/dinner and I wanted to try this recipe for caramel buttermilk syrup—sounds delicious, right? I was a tad worried it wouldn't be half as good as it sounded.

You have to make it in a BIG pot because it gets really frothy

And then you get this thick, yummy syrup

But it turned out really great! And it went great with my french toast!

summer shenanigans

1. i spelled shenanigans correctly without looking it up. actually i looked it up afterward because i couldn't believe i spelled it correctly on the first try. i'm not a "speller," so this is amazing.

it's so fluffy i'm going to die!

ok, maybe not fluffy, but it is adorable. baby animal birthday party=baby animals+cake. yep, believe it. here is the quick recap:
